You simply press a call button next to your past due tenant's name and billmytenants.com will call your tenant with the following past due reminder call: "This is an important call from your landlord. Our records indicate that your rent is currently past due. Please contact your landlord immediately to avoid late fees or possible eviction. If payment has already been sent, please disregard this message. Thank you." If your tenant does not answer, a message will be left on their answering machine. The late fee is charged and added to their statement. If they don't pay the late fee, it will still be there on the next month's invoice. As you probably already know, if you let your tenant be late each month, they will end up paying later and later every month.
